New Wave Industries, Inc. releases Tour Historic Salem App to Apple App Store and Android Marketplace

New Wave Industries, Inc. (www.newwaveindustries.com), a Connecticut based technology firm, released Apple and Android versions of its new Tour Historic Salem App, just in time for Halloween. The mobile application takes users on an interactive, self-guided tour of the historical sites in Salem, Massachusetts, telling the story of the birth of the United States, maritime history and of course, the infamous Salem Witch Trials of 1692. The App includes 17 official stops within the city of Salem, in addition to many unofficial stops and points of interest that might otherwise be overlooked when visiting the city.  “Our goal is to provide users with an interactive and entertaining experience that allows them to take a completely self-guided tour at their own pace,” said Jon Rondeau, New Wave Industries’ CEO.  Bonus information for each stop is available, including hours of operation, restroom locations, handicap accessibility and links to more information.

The mobile App incorporates HD video footage, written text, photos and audio so the user can choose how to experience the tour.  Geo-location and maps ensure that no one will get lost along the way.  The Tour Historic Salem App is the third historical walking tour App developed by New Wave Industries, joining The Boston Freedom Trail and Black Heritage Trail Apps, available for IPhone  IPad and Andorid.
